Caer Beris Engagement Shoot – Sali and Craig

Hello there,

Still catching up, so a few weeks ago I shot the engagement session of Sali and Craig in beautiful Mid Wales as a stunning venue called – Caer Beris Manor Hotel

I was assisted on the day by Tom Astley who had come down to help me out on the wedding the day before which took place in Pembrokeshire, so we stopped overnight and called into Caer Beris on the way home and me  up with the couple.  Since i had Tom with me I got to play a little more with off camera lighting that I normally get to on Engagement Sessions.

We wanted to take full advantage of the grounds and some of the features of the venue, The couple are getting married at Caer Beris in a couple of months so this was a great dummy run to see what would work and not.

Sali may look a little familiar to some of you as she was a bridesmaid from a wedding I shot around 2 years ago.

Worcestershire Wedding Photography / Engagement Session

Hannah and Dave’s Engagement Shoot / Malvern Hills / Worcestershire

This weekend saw me catching up with Hannah and Dave whos wedding I will be photographing later this summer.  Hannah and Dave are getting married in Malvern Worcestershire, a beautiful part of the country and decided that since it was going to be a Malvern Wedding it had to be a Malvern Hills Engagement Session.

We were sort of tied to dates and times as the couple dont actually live in Worcestershire and were here visiting friends and family.  I travel all over the country and would have happily popped up to see them but they wanted the engagement session to take place on the hills overlooking the beautiful town of Malvern.  The weather was not its best to be fair but that did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of Hannah and Dave or to curb their sense of fun !  So while the rain came down we shot photos –  The guys were troopers and for the second time in a week I got pretty wet at an engagement session but ended up with some cracking photos.  The last photo of the day that I call ‘The Joshua Tree’ shot had me lying down on the wet ground followed by a cold walk back down the hill – but I would not have it any other way – when I am taking photos its all about the couple and making sure their photos are something special.

Here you go, a few from the day.

As I always do, I give my couples a sneak peek before I pop them on the blog, I was thrilled to wake up this morning to this from Hannah.

Hi David,

We’re both really impressed, there’s bags of joy in these pics.

You’ve captured our sense of silliness (and there’s plenty of it!)

Best wishes

(and you won the footie too!)

What a great way to start the week !

Hope you enjoy

ciao for now

Wedding Photography Engagement Session

An Engagement Shoot

Sara & Karl at Freshwater East, Pembrokeshire, West Wales

Hey guys, David Purslow here from www.davidpurslow.com – Wedding and Portrait photographer covering the whole of the UK.

About a month ago (I am a little behind as its full on wedding season at the moment) I had the great pleasure of meeting up with Sara and Karl for their pre wedding engagement shoot.  We arranged to meet at Freshwater East, a stunning photo location on the west coast of Wales.

The whole shoot lasted around an hour but we CRANKED out some seriously good photos (at least in my humble opinion)

The purpose of the shoot was to put together a guest signing book (If you have not seen one of these then check out my albums page by clicking here)

Below is a selection of some of the pages from the shoot.

The beach was not as empty as it looks, I airbrushed a lot of people and dogs off the beach – I love the feel of Sara and Karl’s engagement album it could easily be any beach in the world.

Hope you like,

The idea is simple, plenty of white space for guests to write messages of love to the happy couple.
