Wedding photography for Birmingham, The West Midlands, Worcestershire, Warwickshire & The Cotswolds
Hello, I’m David, On behalf of our entire team can I just take a second to thank for stopping by our website and for your interest in having us capture and creating your special memories of your big day.
We are a full time wedding and portrait studio located in the beautiful village of Hartlebury in Worcestershire. Although based in the West Midlands we are happy to cover weddings throughout the whole of the UK. Most weekends we are found in places such as London, The Cotswolds, The South East and so on.
Over the past 12 years we have built up a reputation of providing clients with beautiful and amazing memories of their wedding day. Our style is story telling wedding photography, a mixture of relaxed documentary wedding photography with stunning bridal & couples portraiture. The majority of our weddings take place at magnificent Old Churches, Stately & Country Homes, Castles, Boutique Hotels and Stunning Marquee’s.
The vast majority of our clients ask for our “Signature Style” images to be included, these images are created using a variety of lighting techniques to create images that mix amazing day / night time scenes with beautiful bridal portraiture.
The kind of photographs we take changes as your day unfolds. We normally starts off with observational or documentary wedding photography with a few photos of the bride getting ready, the guests arriving, the fussing over the little details, those last minute things that always pop up at weddings. We then move onto the details, after all its these details you have spent months or even years planning including the all important wedding dress, your wedding jewelry, the flowers, table settings, gifts you and your husband / wife may have exchanged with each other and so on. I then move onto architectural photography and take some photographs of the magnificent venue you have very carefully selected as the perfect venue where are to be married. Then its back to observational photography while we let you relax with your guests and enjoy the day. During the actual wedding service itself we simply document the events as they unfold, the exchange of rings, your first kiss as a married couple, the signing of the register and those beaming smiles as you walk down the aisle as man and wife. After the wedding its back to observational photography and a few formal photos if requested and then after you have spent more time enjoying your day with your family and friends if you like we sneak off for a short time for a few of our signature style wedding portraits.
Most of my clients prefer this very natural and relaxed style of wedding photography. We will record your wedding day with a minimum of fuss and as little intrusion as possible. Couples who typically book us wish to have a record their day as it unfolds with little or no direction. Most request just a few formal family shots, lots of detail shots, lot and lots of natural photos of them enjoying the fun and excitement of the big day whilst spending time with their friends & family.
WEDDING DAY PHOTOGRAPHY: Our priority is to record important moments as they unfold with the minimum amount of intrusion, leaving you to enjoy your wedding day with your friends. To this aim, there are typically two of us present to capture different angles and different viewpoints throughout the day, for for larger weddings (200 + guests) we may have up to four additional members of staff present to ensure every important details is covered, but rest assured this will be discussed with you prior to the wedding itself.
COVERING EVERY ANGLE: We will take a wide range of pictures throughout the entire day to ensure that we really capture the essence of your wedding. We aim to portray you, your guests and the location in the best possible light so that you will have a broad selection from which to build up your album. There’s always a mix of natural, un-posed shots, traditional group shots, romantic portraits, and our signature style photos too. We are accustomed to organising the group shots quickly, without fuss, so you needn’t worry about guests being left waiting around.
CREATING THE MEMORIES: Taking a photograph is simple, but taking truly great photographs requires technical skills, experience, intuition, and a genuine ability to connect with people. Your wedding is such an important event in your life and it deserves to be beautifully recorded. Please have a look at some of my testimonials from some of my previous clients, browse through some recent albums on the Gallery page and judge my photography for yourselves.
PRE WEDDING MEETINGS: For you to truly enjoy your wedding day you need to be sure that your photographer will arrive on time and do everything you’ve agreed. That’s why we spend time with the bride and groom beforehand, gaining an insight to you as a couple and going through exactly what is planned and who’s who in the wedding party.
My personal promise to you is that you will actually re-experience all the joy and excitement of your wedding each and every time you look through your album, whether that’s in 20 days, 20 months or 20 years time.
The Essence of a great photo is not the story it tells today but it is the story it will tell in 20 years time.
We are always looking for natural, expressive pictures, and these come from a blend of both candid and posed situations.
Being flexible, We offer a range of packages or bespoke arrangements – just let us know which elements of the wedding you would like covered and we will provide you a personalised quotation by return.
The album we create for you will be totally unique and will be presented in either a very high quality, beautifully designed story book wedding album or a magnificent Australian traditional styled matted album – whichever you prefer.
By visiting our Wedding Photography BLOG you will be able to see some recent wedding photos we’ve taken and then you can judge for yourself if you like our approach…
YOUR ALBUM: We take great care whilst processing your images to ensure they have an extra depth and dimension which almost brings them to life. The reason I spend so much time working on your photos is simple, I want you to not only see the wedding day unfold in front of you as you look your album, I want you to actually relive the moments one by one.
VENUE VISITS: Telling the perfect story of your wedding starts when we very first get together and you tell me all about your wedding plans.
Even if we have photographed at the venue before it’s never the same because my inspiration comes from you on your day.
To Guarantee our clients the kind of service they are promised and expect from us, we limit the number of wedding we accept to only 25each year and have been fortunate enough to have been fully booked for the past 7 years.
For 2013 we will only undertake 25 weddings, we have decided to drop this number to 20 in 2014 and 15 in 2015 due in part to the expansion of our portrait studio and the increasing demand we are receiving for society and higher end weddings.
In 2012 we received well in excess of 120 requests for our services. For this reason we operate on a strictly first come first served basis. We are very sorry that we cannot hold ANY dates without a booking form being completed and the booking fee having being paid.
