The Miracle of Life – Bump Photos while your Pregnant

First off very special thanks to Miss ‘L’ for allowing me to post her pregnancy portraits on line.

In our studio we photograph a lot of babies and pregnant mums to be, Pregnancy photography is one of my favorite personally as I find it amazing to be able to capture this very special moment in a couples life and can only imagine what the mum must be feeling and going thru.

The style of pregnancy photography we offer is a mixture of beauty and fine art baby bump photos.

The day was perfect, Jeanie (one of our make up artists) and myself were really looking forward to Miss ‘L’s’ shoot and hopped she would be up for some of the fine art nude shots as well as possibly going into the woods at the back of the studio. (we had a heads up from Miss L that she loved the fine art pregnancy photos – we send out a selection of images prior to the shoot itself) The woods were kind of a last minute idea but the images are so beautiful that I am delighted to be sharing them with you.

Worcestershire baby portrait photographer – Studio Portraits

Today we had the cutest little fella stop by for his first official photoshoot, Baby Oliver came with mum and dad looking to get something nice to put on the wall to celebrate his arrival in the household. Here are a few of the pics from his shoot.

Beautiful baby and family photography

Hi there,

I feel like one of those guys off the radio or TV but what can you do about it…..why do I feel like that….. its because I have to say……….

Not a lot of people know that…………

David Purslow Photography not only specialises in Wedding and Boudoir Photography but we also shoot really really cute photos of newborn babies, babies and families.

Just such an example if Baby Bella who came to visit our studio last week.

We had shot Bella and the whole family a few weeks back, but last week it was all about Bella, well Bella and Mum.

there is not a lot to say about baby photography other than the photos you get very quickly become some of the most treasured of memories.

Hand on my heart, as god is my witness today Nikki (my beautiful bride) ‘Pop-pops’ (The father in law) and I were looking at some photos from Joshua and Soukie when they were little (remember they are only 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old) and the changes and differences between then now and then was mind blowing. I had forgotten exactly what they looked like just a short few months back and thats why photographs are so important, they bring back and trigger memories that would forever be lost otherwise.

anyway, enough of my taking a trip down memory lane, here are a few shots from Baby Bella’s visit to our studio.

Boudoir / Pin Up Portraits for Birmingham and Worcestershire

Be Yourself !

As most wedding and portrait photographers will tell you, 99% of the time you deal with the mainstream of society. I would say that in my case its like 75 % of the time as the types of clients that search me out are looking for something just that little bit different, nothing outragious but something with their own personal stamp on it.

Since opening my studio I have been offering brides boudoir and pin up shoots which have been going down a storm so recently after talking to Mrs P (my bride) we opened up the studio to anyone wanting a high class pinup / boudoir / glamour shoot.

A couple of weeks ago I was very fortunate to work with a young lady who will remain anonymous so who I will call Miss S, anyway her looks totally blew me away, The shoot was arranged for late one evening due to her working in the day and then having to give her self ‘a make over’ – I didnt know what to expect and honestly was not expecting anything like Miss S to pull into the studio parking lot.

Here is one of my favorite shots from the session.

High Class Boudoir and Pin-up Photography

Boudoir Photography for Birmingham, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and beyond

Hello there,

Something a little different from me today – I wanted to let you know a little about my Boudoir Photography and Burlesque / Pin-up Photography services. A few months ago I opened a new photo studio in Hartlebury, Worcestershire in the West Midlands, we are just 35 minutes from Birmingham, 15 minutes from Worcester City Center and around 45 minutes from Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.

Initially this service was only available to our brides however its now being requested more and more and I have decided to publish it on my website.

David Purslow Photography offers high end / high class boudoir photography, we consult with our clients to achieve the exact look they want. We have available a hair stylist and make up artist if you would like to use them and we offer shoots either in our studio or on location, either at your home or some of the amazing boutique hotels throughout the west midlands and beyond.

Naturally because of the kinds of images being taken we don’t publish any of them without your permission, however this week I have just had an amazing 2 hour shoot with Roxanne, who I initially shot several months back while she was 8 months pregnant. 5 months later Roxanne wanted some nice photos done and popped into the studio.

The images below are a small sample of what we managed in a 2 – 3 hour photo shoot.

Trash the Ian Stuart Wedding Dress Session

Nick and Emily Trash the Dress

I often mention to brides about doing a trash the dress session, this is where you create some amazing photos using you wedding dress after the wedding. When I met up with Nick and Emily whos wedding was 3 months ago – you can see their wedding photos here – Emily said that her dress was far too expensive to do it with and she would hate to trash it – however the seed was sown.

Well at the wedding the dress did get a little dirty and one of the last thing Emily said to me on her wedding day was that she had decided due to how mucky the dress had got, that why not trash it anyway ! I was super excited, if you follow my blog you will know I LOVE Ian Stuart wedding dresses, they are just so beautiful and make brides look like a million dollars.

So thanks to a very unseasonal end to September and the start of October, we set Sunday the 2nd as the day to take a dip in the ocean – boy it was cold but once you were in and I count myself in that as I was laying down getting totally covered for the sake of the art anyway, once your in it was fine,

Emily and Nick sent me an email this morning saying they were so happy they did it, the dress could just hand in the wardrobe or you could turn it into images like that that will adorn your walls forever !
