I am not normally into posting comments I receive from people on my photography on the blog however today I received an email that really touched me. The email was from Anna, a bride who I shot a couple of weeks ago see the post here http://www.davidpurslow.com/blog/?p=299
It’s probably very hard to explain but it means so much to me each time I capture a wedding. I see it as I am documenting a whole new beginning for a couple’s life, and in years and years to come, their wedding photos will be such precious memories and will be passed down eventually. Nikki and I have a wedding photo from her Great Nan’s wedding on the wall, the photographer is long gone but the photos live on as do the memories.
I enjoy the photography so much myself that I sometimes forget I am working for the couple’s I really love shooting weddings, there is nothing that compares to the joy you experience at a wedding and every now and then you get an email like this one that is makes you really really happy to be doing something you love so much and to know it brings so much joy to the people who choose me to share there day, I feel it should be me saying thanks.
“Hi David
I don’t think Matt has been in touch yet but I wanted to say thankyou for the completely stunning photos you have taken of our wedding day. I am absolutely chuffed to bits as I actually look good in most of them….and Matt too of course! I can’t believe it!
They really capture the spirit of the day…. and I’m so glad we chose you.I can’t have wished for anything more.It was also fantastic to be able to tell other friends and family about the pictures from your blog just the day after.
Matt and I have now got to go through all the photos ….. and then we’ll be in touch!
Thankyou SO much again David.Wonderful!!
